Rick Dennis and Rick Daniel formed Scuba Ricks to offer the best scuba instruction and certification classes in Jacksonville and to organize fun and exciting dive excursions to a number of great locations.
The classes are fun, interactive and taught in a way that easy to understand and retain what you have learned. Scuba Ricks’ goal is to teach divers to be competent, safe and get the most enjoyment from their dives.
The dive excursions are incredibly fun. Everything from the springs to off-shore to liveaboards in amazing tropical locations, we do all the leg work – you just show up. We will prepare boat reservations, lodging accommodations and provide all of the necessary information you will need.
Although we have some merch available, Scuba Ricks is not a retail store looking to sell gear. Our goal is your satisfaction with the quality of service we provide.
Meet the Ricks
Rick Dennis
NAUI Scuba Instructor
I started diving in the late 70s. I have over 1000 dives in seven different countries. My favorite dive location is Cay Sal Bank 30 miles off the coast of Cuba. I became a dive instructor in 1993 and have been an instructor for SSI and NAUI. I have had the pleasure of introducing over three hundred scuba divers to the wonderful world of underwater exploration. My greatest thrill is seeing students go from uncomfortable and awkward in the pool to confident divers in open water. I love meeting new people and look forward to introducing you to the wonderful world of Scuba Dive Club.

NAUI DiVE MASTER
Scuba diving was always on my to do list. In 2005, my wife and I joined an Open Water class taught by Rick Dennis. Soon after, our two sons became certified scuba divers at age 10. I have enjoyed diving the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of Florida, The Keys, Cay Sal Bank and several Caribbean islands. Livaboard diving is an absolute favorite. I have continued my diving education and now I am a NAUI Dive Master. With that I have the pleasure of assisting in classes and organizing dive excursions for groups of divers. I enjoy the camaraderie and fun that always accompanies diving with old friends and new.
